Our Initial Project
Water For Life
On 28th October 2018 before school resumes from a month off, a team from our new Rotary Club gathered at Wat Lamai School to replace the membrane filters in each of the Vestergaard Lifestraw Community Water Filters. This gives the system another 18 months of clean drinking water certified by The World Health Authority.
Thanks to our guests from Nikki Beach – GM Bruce Hanrahan and especially Engineer Khun Aey as well as Rotarians Adam Boulton, Adam Makemson, Robert Andrew and David Marshall.
It is intended that as soon as possible that our “Water For Life” project will be rolled forward seamlessly as “Water 4 Life” to provide fresh drinking water to the remaining 23 poorer public schools on Koh Samui which will affect over 7,000 Thai Children on Koh Samui.
